Terms of service
Draft last updated 4 November 2026
These terms cover restaurants that sign up for VercentDine and their staff. [Contracting entity and governing law to be confirmed by counsel.]
The service
VercentDine is hosted software for QR ordering, kitchen display, waiter alerts, point of sale, printing and reports. It needs an internet connection. The point of sale can keep taking cash orders through a short outage and sends them when the connection returns; everything else needs to be online.
Trial and subscription
- New restaurants start with a 14-day free trial. After the trial a paid plan is required to keep taking orders.
- Plans renew automatically until cancelled. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Plan changes take effect from the next billing period. We do not offer part-period refunds or credits.
- If a renewal payment fails, ordering continues during a grace period. After that, the account is paused: data can still be viewed and exported, but new orders are blocked until payment is made.
Your responsibilities
- Keep staff logins secure and remove staff who leave.
- Check that menu prices, taxes, GST details and receipts are correct for your business. VercentDine's tax layouts are tools, not tax advice.
- Tell guests about any service charge and that it is optional where the law requires.
Payments to restaurants
Guest payments go through the restaurant's own payment provider account. VercentDine is not a party to those payments and does not hold restaurant funds.
Your data
You own your restaurant's data. You can export it at any time and request account deletion from Settings. See the privacy notice.
Availability and liability
[Service levels, limitation of liability, indemnities and dispute resolution to be drafted by counsel.]
